Joel hails from Australia. As a teenager he loved listening to his father's music collection which included classic blues artists such as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanan, Johnny Winters and the heavy hitters such as Led Zeppelin. He has spent much of his time in Indie and folk bands, but his heart always returned to the blues and rock. Joel is an accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist and brings that passion to every show along with his Aussie sense of humor!

Micheal started playing the bass in 1974 when he and his friends decided to be rock stars when they grew up (hey, he was 11 years old it seemed like a great idea). In 1976 he formed a band with two friends from school which became a glam rock band signed to a small label. Though that project eventually broke up his passion for playing continued. Throughout his career he has played everything from Punk to Funk with the last 15 years dedicated to Rockabilly and the Blues. After moving to Berlin in 2023 he met Joel in late 2024. Together they formed The Syndicate and later The Barrelhouse Syndicate.

Alex has played with various bands in different styles such as jazz, rock, folk, Latin, and blues. Because of this cross pollination he brings a unique style to his drumming. Originally from Santiago, Chile, he has spent time in Barcelona and now calls Berlin his home. He has played concerts across Europe and Chile and is an accomplished studio musician. He is also a music producer, sound designer and music teacher.
